At Taunton School, we pride ourselves on being a little bit different and our Summer School programmes are no different.  Taunton Summer School’s courses are offered to students in Key Stage 2 – 12.

Starting on 3^rd July 2021, students may study for 2, 4, or 6 weeks.

Please note that the options to study for 3 or 5 weeks are also available but incurs an additional fee for airport transfers

The course content is different in each Summer School and your child will benefit from the unique advantage of the small class sizes to really focus on what matters.

Study Structure
Every student receives 15 hours of formal English lessons each week plus 10 hours of an exciting range of other courses to study. For students attending for 2 or more weeks, it is possible to choose a different combination of courses throughout their stay at Taunton School.

Each course has 3 hours of English each day including a choice of English Enrichment activities designed to encourage students to use English and increase their confidence; public speaking, pronunciation, essay writing, creative writing, problem-solving, leadership, etc. 

There are a wide range of trips and activities each day after lessons and weekend trips to major historical cities. Some of our key distinguishing features are:

–          our own Summer school in our own school

–          learning through themes and projects to promote study skills and develop self-confidence

–          small class sizes (averaging just 8 students/class)

–          outstanding facilities on a 56-acre (23 hectares)  campus

–          specialist teachers who also teach on our year-round programmes
